This policy explains what personal data Uppercut Labs collects, why we use it, who we share it with and the rights available to you. Uppercut Labs is the data controller for the processing described here.
What we collect
When you submit our contact form we collect the information you choose to provide, typically your name, email address, phone number (optional), company (optional) and details of your enquiry.
If you accept optional analytics, we collect limited, aggregated technical data such as page views, referrers, general location, browser and device information through Vercel Web Analytics. Vercel states that this service does not use cookies or identify individual visitors.
Our legal bases
We process enquiry information to take steps at your request before entering a contract and, where relevant, to perform a contract with you. We also rely on our legitimate interests to respond to business communications, maintain records and keep the website secure.
Optional analytics is based on your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time through Cookie settings. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use it
We use the information you provide to:
- respond to your enquiry and correspond with you;
- provide and deliver services you request;
- understand and improve how our website performs.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
Who processes it
We use a small number of service providers to operate the site and handle enquiries. They process data on our behalf for the purposes described here:
- Vercel, for website hosting and optional aggregated analytics;
- Resend, to deliver enquiry and confirmation emails;
- HubSpot, to store and manage enquiry and customer relationship records.
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where required, we use recognised transfer safeguards such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.
Retention
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and, where relevant, to manage an ongoing or potential working relationship. We delete or anonymise data we no longer need, subject to any legal, accounting or dispute record requirements.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal data, object to certain processing, receive portable data, and withdraw consent. To exercise a right, contact us at hello@uppercutlabs.co.uk.
You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
